Zen Inspired Spa Bath

Charanza Contracting Inc. transformed this 1980’s era traditional bath into a modern updated Zen inspired spa retreat.
Charanza Contracting Inc. transformed this 1980’s era traditional bath into a modern updated Zen inspired spa retreat. Entering from the master bedroom through the new double doors with rain glass inserts; the relatively small space is contrasted with both light and dark materials which soothe the mind at the end of the day. The luxurious free standing soaking tub illuminated by the spectacular chandelier captures one’s eye as well as the clients heart!

Highly polished nickel fixtures gleam in the newly installed recessed lighting above the vanities. The sleek modern cabinetry  houses custom storage solutions such as specialty cosmetic drawers as well as the inviting open shelves to display fluffy rolled bath linens. Intricate tile patterns behind the frame less shower glass complete the restful space. The master bedroom fireplace was faced with sleek modern tile and new decorative beam installed at the ceiling. New hardwood floors provide a warm glow.

The master bathroom was accessed through an exterior bedroom door enabling the client to maintain privacy in other areas of the home during construction. The existing bath was removed to the framing studs in partial areas and flooring removed during demolition. The plumbing for the old tub was relocated and updated with a floor mounted tub faucet which was accomplished by cutting into the existing foundation. Re-framed the shower wall and the corner window column.  New shower pan, valves, and shower fixtures were installed in the frame less glass shower enclosure.

Complementing tile was installed on the floor, in the shower, and as vanity back splash. New toilet and vent fans were installed in the hidden water closet. Custom designed shop built cabinetry was installed. Solid surface counter tops and matching window-sills were fabricated, and all surfaces given fresh paint.  New recessed lighting and chandelier on new switches were added.

Voila! A gorgeously recreated master retreat by Charanza Contracting Inc and Brenda Denny of Chairma Design Group.
